दुःखेष्वनुद्विग्नमनाः सुखेषु विगतस्पृहः।
वीतरागभयक्रोधः स्थितधीर्मुनिरुच्यते॥५६॥

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
दुःखों में जिसका मन उद्विग्न नहीं होता, सुखों में जो निःस्पृह है, राग, भय और क्रोध से रहित है — वह स्थिर बुद्धि वाला मुनि कहलाता है।
English Translation
One whose mind is undisturbed in sorrow, who has no craving for pleasure, who is free from attachment, fear, and anger — such a person is called a sage of steady wisdom.
Commentary (टीका)
Three negative emotions are specifically mentioned: attachment (raga), fear (bhaya), and anger (krodha). These are the three roots of all suffering. A Sthitaprajna is not emotionless but has transcended these reactive patterns. The undisturbed mind in sorrow and the desireless mind in pleasure represent complete emotional mastery.
