Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
English Translation
Restraining all the senses, one should sit in meditation, devoted to Me. For the one whose senses are under control, wisdom is firmly established.
Commentary (टीका)
The solution to the problem of turbulent senses is twofold: sensory restraint AND devotion to God ('mat-parah'). Mere restraint without a higher focus is unsustainable. But when the mind is anchored in divine consciousness, sense control becomes natural. Devotion provides the 'higher taste' that replaces worldly cravings.
