Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

My nature is afflicted by the weakness of pity, and my mind is confused about dharma. I ask You: tell me decisively what is best for me. I am Your disciple. Instruct me, for I have surrendered to You.

Commentary (टीका)

This is the most pivotal verse of Chapter 2. Arjuna formally becomes a disciple (shishya) and surrenders (prapannam) to Krishna as his guru. This surrender transforms their relationship from friends to teacher-student, creating the foundation for the Gita's teachings. Without surrender, divine knowledge cannot flow.
