Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
English Translation
Some offer the senses such as hearing into the fire of self-restraint; others offer the sense objects such as sound into the fire of the senses.
Commentary (टीका)
Two approaches to spiritual practice are described: some restrain their senses from engaging with objects (the path of sensory withdrawal), while others engage their senses mindfully with objects as an act of offering. Both approaches are valid forms of sacrifice. The key insight is that any disciplined spiritual practice can be understood as a sacred offering.
