ये हि संस्पर्शजा भोगा दुःखयोनय एव ते।

आद्यन्तवन्तः कौन्तेय न तेषु रमते बुधः॥

Ye Hi Samsparsha-Ja Bhoga Duhkha-Yonaya Eva Te.

Ady-Anta-Vantah Kaunteya Na Teshu Ramate Budhah.

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

जो भोग (सुख) इन्द्रियों के विषय-संयोग से उत्पन्न होते हैं, वे निश्चय ही दुःख के कारण हैं; वे आदि और अन्त वाले (अनित्य) हैं। हे कौन्तेय! बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति उनमें रमण नहीं करता।

English Translation

The pleasures born of sense contact are indeed sources of suffering. They have a beginning and an end, O Kaunteya. The wise person does not delight in them.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna states a fundamental spiritual truth: all sensory pleasures are inherently temporary and therefore ultimately lead to suffering. They have a beginning (when contact is made) and an end (when contact ceases), making them unreliable sources of happiness. The wise person, recognizing this impermanence, does not place their happiness in sense pleasures but seeks the lasting joy within.
