Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
हे पाण्डव! जिसे संन्यास कहते हैं, उसे ही योग जानो। बिना संकल्पों (स्वार्थी इच्छाओं) का त्याग किए कोई भी योगी नहीं बन सकता।
English Translation
Know that what they call renunciation (sannyasa) is the same as yoga, O Pandava. No one becomes a yogi without renouncing selfish resolve (sankalpa).
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna establishes the essential identity between sannyasa and yoga — both require the renunciation of selfish desire (sankalpa). Without giving up personal agendas and self-centered motivations, no one can truly practice yoga. This verse underscores that the internal attitude of desirelessness is the common foundation of all spiritual paths.
