English Translation
But the fruit gained by those of limited understanding is temporary. The worshippers of the gods go to the gods, but My devotees come to Me.
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna contrasts the temporary rewards of worshipping lesser deities with the eternal fruit of devotion to the Supreme. Those who worship demigods attain temporary heavenly pleasures, while devotees of Krishna reach the imperishable Divine. This verse encourages seekers to aim for the highest, most lasting spiritual attainment.
