Ahankara iti-iyam me bhinna prakritir-ashtadha

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु, आकाश, मन, बुद्धि और अहंकार — ये आठ प्रकार से विभक्त मेरी प्रकृति है।
English Translation
Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intellect, and ego — these are the eightfold divisions of My material nature (Prakriti).
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna describes His lower, material nature (apara prakriti) as consisting of eight elements — five gross elements and three subtle ones. This classification encompasses the entire material world, both physical and psychological. Understanding this helps the seeker see all of creation as an expression of the Divine.
