जीवनं सर्वभूतेषु तपश्चास्मि तपस्विषु॥

Jivanam sarva-bhuteshu tapash-cha-asmi tapasvishu

मैं पृथ्वी में पवित्र गन्ध हूँ और अग्नि में तेज हूँ। सम्पूर्ण प्राणियों में जीवन हूँ और तपस्वियों में तप हूँ।
English Translation
I am the pure fragrance of the earth and the brilliance in fire. I am the life in all beings, and the austerity in ascetics.
Commentary (टीका)
Continuing the theme of divine immanence, Krishna identifies Himself with the purest and most essential quality in each category. The fragrance of earth, the heat of fire, and the vitality in all creatures — all point to the same divine source. This vision transforms the mundane into the sacred.
