English Translation

Those who know that Brahma's day lasts a thousand yugas and his night lasts a thousand yugas — they are the knowers of day and night.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna reveals the cosmic time scale to put human existence in perspective. One day of Brahma (the creator) spans 4.32 billion years, and his night is equally long. Understanding these vast cycles helps the seeker appreciate the temporary nature of all created realms and the imperative of seeking the eternal.
