Asha-pasha-shatair-baddhah kama-krodha-parayanah

Ihante kama-bhoga-artham anyayena-artha-sanchayan

सैकड़ों आशाओं के पाशों से बँधे, काम और क्रोध के परायण, वे कामभोग के लिए अन्यायपूर्वक धन संग्रह करने का प्रयत्न करते हैं।

English Translation

Bound by hundreds of ties of desire, given over to lust and anger, they strive to accumulate wealth by unjust means for the gratification of their desires.

Commentary (टीका)

Hope and desire act as hundreds of ropes binding the demoniac soul. Driven by lust and anger, they resort to unethical means to amass wealth solely for sensory pleasure. This verse exposes how unchecked desires corrupt both individual morality and social order.
