इदमद्य मया लब्धमिमं प्राप्स्ये मनोरथम्।
इदमस्तीदमपि मे भविष्यति पुनर्धनम्॥

Idam-adya maya labdham-imam prapsye manoratham
Idam-asti-idam-api me bhavishyati punar-dhanam

आज मैंने यह प्राप्त किया, इस मनोरथ को भी पाऊँगा। यह मेरे पास है और यह धन भी फिर मेरा होगा — ऐसा वे सोचते हैं।
English Translation
'Today I have gained this; tomorrow I shall fulfill this desire. This wealth is mine, and that also shall be mine' — thus they think.
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna reveals the inner monologue of the demoniac mind, consumed by possessiveness and endless craving. Each acquisition only fuels the desire for more. This self-centered thinking cycle prevents any contentment or spiritual awareness from arising.
