॥ श्री अय्यप्पा कवचम् ॥
ॐ अस्य श्री अय्यप्पा कवचस्य।
परशुराम ऋषिः। अनुष्टुप् छन्दः।
श्री अय्यप्पो देवता। अय्यप्पप्रीत्यर्थे जपे विनियोगः॥
शास्ता मे पातु शीर्षं च ललाटं धर्मशासनः।
नेत्रे हरिहरपुत्रो श्रवणे शबरीगिरीशः॥ १॥
नासिकां मणिकण्ठश्च वदनं पम्पापतिः शुभः।
कण्ठं भूतनाथः पातु स्कन्धौ वनवासकः॥ २॥
भुजौ पुलिवाहनश्च करौ पातु तपस्विराट्।
हृदयं शास्तृरूपश्च उदरं योगिपुङ्गवः॥ ३॥
कटिं ब्रह्मचारी पातु जानुनी गिरिवासकः।
जङ्घे मकरज्योतिश्च पादौ शबरिमलेश्वरः॥ ४॥
सर्वाङ्गं अय्यनाथश्च प्राच्यां पातु हरात्मजः।
दक्षिणे मोहिनीसुतो पश्चिमे शास्तृनायकः॥ ५॥
उत्तरे पम्बानिवासी ऊर्ध्वं सन्निधानपतिः।
अधः पातु महाशास्ता सर्वत्र अय्यपो ऽवतु॥ ६॥
य इदं कवचं दिव्यमय्यप्पस्य महात्मनः।
पठेद् व्रतसमायुक्तो मण्डलं च विशेषतः।
सर्वपापविनिर्मुक्तो ज्योतिदर्शनमाप्नुयात्॥ ७॥
