Dedicated to Goddess Kali, the Tara Stotram (तारा स्तोत्रम्) is a devotional hymn of praise revered in Hindu tradition. ॥ अथ श्रीतारास्तोत्रम् ॥
ॐ ह्रीं स्त्रीं हुं फट्।
तारां तारयितुं शक्तां संसारार्णवपारगाम्।
नीलसरस्वतीं वन्दे महाविद्यां सनातनीम्॥१॥
उग्रतारां महाभीमां नीलवर्णां दिगम्बराम्।
मुण्डमालाविभूषाढ्यां शववाहनसंस्थिताम्॥२॥
कर्त्रीखड्गकपालाब्जधारिणीं घोररूपिणीम्।
प्रलयानलसंकाशां जटाजूटविराजिताम्॥३॥
त्रिनेत्रां रक्तवदनां दंष्ट्राकरालभीषणाम्।
श्मशानवासिनीं देवीं तारां प्रणमयाम्यहम्॥४॥
सर्वविद्याप्रदां देवीं सर्वसिद्धिप्रदायिनीम्।
वाग्बलैश्वर्यदात्रीं च तारां वन्दे सुरार्चिताम्॥५॥
अविद्यातिमिरं हन्तुं विद्यारूपां प्रकाशिनीम्।
ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवैर्वन्द्यां तारां नौमि जगद्धिताम्॥६॥
भवसागरमग्नानां जीवानामार्तिनाशिनीम्।
तारयन्तीं परं श्रेयस्तारां वन्दे कृपानिधिम्॥७॥
एकजटां महाविद्यां नीलसरस्वतीमहम्।
द्वितीयां दशविद्यासु तारां नमामि भक्तितः॥८॥
हरेणुकासमुद्भूतां पीठस्थां सागरोपमाम्।
वज्रवैरोचनीं देवीं तारां प्रणमयाम्यहम्॥९॥
सर्वमन्त्रमयीं शक्तिं सर्वयन्त्रनिवासिनीम्।
सर्वतन्त्रमयीं देवीं तारां वन्दे सदाशिवाम्॥१०॥
तारास्तोत्रमिदं पुण्यं यः पठेद्भक्तिसंयुतः।
सर्वविद्यामवाप्नोति तारालोकं च गच्छति॥
॥ इति श्रीतारास्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
