About Chatuh Shloki Bhagavatam
Chatuh Shloki Bhagavatam (चतुःश्लोकी भागवतम्) is a sacred prayer dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Rooted in Shrimad Bhagavata Purana, Canto 2, Chapter 9, this composition carries deep spiritual significance. Devotees recite this prayer to contain the entire essence of Shrimad Bhagavatam in just 4 verses and destroy the illusion of duality and separateness from God. It is also said to spoken directly by Lord Vishnu to Brahma at the beginning of creation. For best results, devotees chant this on Thursday (Guruvar) and during Ekadashi and Guru Purnima. At 4 verses long, the recitation takes roughly 3 minutes, making it accessible for regular devotional use.
