Among the most cherished prayers to Sun God Surya, Aditya Stotram (आदित्य स्तोत्रम्) stands as a devotional hymn of praise. ॥ श्री आदित्य स्तोत्रम् ॥
जपाकुसुमसङ्काशं काश्यपेयं महद्द्युतिम्।
तमोऽरिं सर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोऽस्मि दिवाकरम्॥१॥
आदिदेवो जगन्नाथो दीनानामभयप्रदः।
सप्तलोकैकदीपश्च सर्वव्याधिविनाशनः॥२॥
आदित्यस्य नमस्कारं ये कुर्वन्ति दिने दिने।
जन्मान्तरसहस्रेषु दारिद्र्यं नोपजायते॥३॥
नमः सूर्याय शान्ताय सर्वरोगनिवारिणे।
आयुर्वेदमयी सत्ता दिव्यौषधिमयी कृपा॥४॥
त्वमादिदेवः पुरुषः पुरातनस्त्वमस्य विश्वस्य परं निधानम्।
वेत्तासि वेद्यं च परं च धाम त्वया ततं विश्वमनन्तरूप॥५॥
सविता सर्वलोकानां सविता सर्वकर्मणाम्।
सवित्री सर्वभूतानामादित्यं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥६॥
ध्येयः सदा सवितृमण्डलमध्यवर्ती
नारायणः सरसिजासनसन्निविष्टः।
केयूरवान् मकरकुण्डलवान् किरीटी
हारी हिरण्मयवपुर्धृतशङ्खचक्रः॥७॥
उद्यन्नद्यविवस्वानारोहन्नुत्तरां दिवम्।
हृद्रोगं मम सूर्यो हरिमाणं चाशु नाशयेत्॥८॥
घृणिं सूर्य आदित्यं भास्करं भुवनेश्वरम्।
श्रीमन्तं श्रीकरं चैव सर्वाभीष्टप्रदायिनम्॥९॥
रवये सोमदात्रे च भानवे विष्णुरूपिणे।
सप्ताश्ववाहनायैव सूर्याय शतरश्मये॥१०॥
ॐ आदित्याय विद्महे भास्कराय धीमहि।
तन्नः सूर्यः प्रचोदयात्॥११॥
॥ फलश्रुति ॥
आदित्यस्तोत्रमिदं पुण्यं यः पठेत् सुसमाहितः।
सर्वपापविनिर्मुक्तः सूर्यलोकं स गच्छति॥
॥ इति श्री आदित्य स्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
