॥ श्री कुमार अष्टकम् ॥

शक्तिहस्तं विरूपाक्षं शिखिवाहनमव्ययम्।

षडाननं कुमारं च स्कन्दं वन्दे शिवात्मजम्॥

षडाननं कुङ्कुमरक्तवर्णं

महामतिं दिव्यमयूरवाहनम्।

रुद्रस्य सूनुं सुरसैन्यनाथं

गुहं सदा शरणमहं प्रपद्ये॥१॥

जातवेदसमुद्भूतं कार्तिकेयं महाबलम्।

कृत्तिकाभिः समुत्पन्नं कुमारं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥२॥

तारकासुरसंहारं शक्तिशूलधरं विभुम्।

देवसेनापतिं शूरं कुमारं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥३॥

सेनानीनामहं स्कन्दः कुक्कुटध्वजलाञ्छनः।

गाङ्गेयः शरजन्मा च कुमारं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥४॥

षण्मुखं शिवसम्भूतं शक्तिहस्तं कृपानिधिम्।

पार्वतीनन्दनं देवं कुमारं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥५॥

शूरं सुब्रह्मण्यं देवं स्कन्दं शक्तिधरं विभुम्।

बालं ब्रह्मण्यदेवं च कुमारं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥६॥

वल्लीदेवयानीशं शिखिवाहनमीश्वरम्।

सनत्कुमारसम्भूतं कुमारं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥७॥

विश्वेशं कुमरेशानं तारकध्वंसकारकम्।

षडक्षरीमन्त्ररूपं कुमारं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥८॥
