॥ दोहा ॥
श्री गणेश गिरिजा सुवन, मङ्गल मूल सुजान।
कार्तिकेय कृपा करो, करो सबकी कल्यान॥
॥ चौपाई ॥
जय जय श्री कार्तिकेय भगवान।
शिव शक्ति सुत अतिबलवान॥
षडानन षण्मुख सुखदाता।
कृत्तिका सुत जग विख्याता॥
स्कन्द कुमार गुह नाम तुम्हारे।
मयूर वाहन वेद पुकारे॥
वेलवन शूल शक्ति धारी।
असुर संहारी भयहारी॥
तारकासुर का वध कीना।
देवतन को भय से छीना॥
सुरसेनापति पद पाये।
देवतन के दुःख मिटाये॥
दक्षिण में मुरुगन कहलाये।
षडगिरि में वास बनाये॥
पलनी तिरुचेन्दुर स्वामिमलाई।
तिरुपरन्कुन्ड्रम तिरुत्तनी भाई॥
वल्ली देवयानी प्रिय नारी।
दोनों संग शोभा अति न्यारी॥
कनक कुण्डल मकर श्रवणधारी।
मणि मुकुट शिर शोभा न्यारी॥
रक्त वर्ण अति तेजधारी।
मयूर ध्वज जय जयकारी॥
भक्तन के संकट सब हारी।
करो कृपा प्रभु हे दयाकारी॥
ज्ञान शक्ति बल बुद्धिदाता।
शत्रु नाश करो जगत्राता॥
रोग शोक दोष सब हारी।
अनुग्रह करो देव मुरारी॥
ब्रह्मा को तुमने पढ़ाया।

शिव सुत हो शिव तत्त्व बताये।
वेदों का सार सुनाये॥
