Vasudeva Ashtakam
श्री वासुदेवाष्टकम्
About Vasudeva Ashtakam
Dedicated to Lord Krishna, the Vasudeva Ashtakam (श्री वासुदेवाष्टकम्) is an eight-verse devotional hymn revered in Hindu tradition. Rooted in Traditional Vaishnavite Stotra, this composition carries deep spiritual significance. Chanting this stotra with devotion is said to combine bhakti with the essence of Krishna's life story as well as destroy all sins and leads to the supreme abode. Additionally, it is known to grant Sarva Siddhi (all accomplishments) through Vasudeva's grace. This prayer is traditionally recited on Wednesday (Budhvar) and during Janmashtami and Gita Jayanti to invoke divine grace. At 8 verses long, the recitation takes roughly 5 minutes, making it accessible for regular devotional use. On this page, you can read the complete Vasudeva Ashtakam in Devanagari Sanskrit with English transliteration, Hindi meaning (arth), and free PDF download for offline recitation.
