॥ श्री एकादशी महात्म्य श्लोक ॥

एकादश्यां तु यो भुंक्ते यो वापि परिवेषयेत्।

उभयोर्नरकं प्रोक्तं तस्मात्तत्परिवर्जयेत्॥ १॥

एकादश्या व्रतं नॄणां सर्वपापहरं शुभम्।

धर्मार्थकाममोक्षाणां साधनं परमं भवेत्॥ २॥

न गङ्गास्नानतः पुण्यं न काश्यां मरणं तथा।

न कुर्वन्ति फलं तादृक् एकादश्युपवासतः॥ ३॥

अश्वमेधसहस्राणि राजसूयशतानि च।

एकादश्युपवासस्य कलां नार्हन्ति षोडशीम्॥ ४॥

नारद उवाच:

यानि कानि च पापानि ब्रह्महत्यासमानि च।

अन्नमाश्रित्य तिष्ठन्ति सम्प्राप्ते हरिवासरे॥ ५॥

उत्तमा तु भवेत्पूजा विष्णोः पुष्पैस्तथा जलैः।

तुलसीदलसंयुक्ता एकादश्यां विशेषतः॥ ६॥

एकादशीव्रतं कृत्वा द्वादश्यां पारणं चरेत्।

विष्णोर्नामसहस्रं च जपेद्भक्तिसमन्वितः॥ ७॥

वैष्णवानां प्रियं तीर्थं एकादशी व्रतोत्तमम्।

यत्फलं नोपवासेन तत्फलं नान्यतो भवेत्॥ ८॥
