Indra Chalisa (इन्द्र चालीसा) is a sacred 40-verse devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Indra. ॥ श्री इन्द्र देव चालीसा ॥
॥ दोहा ॥
देवराज इन्द्र प्रभु, स्वर्गलोक अधिपति।
वज्र धारी पुरन्दर, करो कृपा सम्पत्ति॥
ऐरावत पर विराजत, शची पति गुणधाम।
इन्द्र चालीसा कहूँ, सुनो सुरपति नाम॥
॥ चौपाई ॥
जय जय इन्द्र देवराजा।
सहस्र नयन त्रिलोक में ताजा॥
वज्र हाथ शत्रु विनाशक।
देव सेना के तुम रक्षक॥ १॥
ऐरावत गज पर सवारी।
चार दन्त श्वेत अति प्यारी॥
उच्चैःश्रवा अश्व तुम्हारा।
समुद्र मन्थन से प्रकट न्यारा॥ २॥
अमरावती नगरी सुहानी।
नन्दन वन की शोभा मानी॥
कल्पवृक्ष और कामधेनु।
स्वर्ग वैभव का नहीं कोई मेनु॥ ३॥
शची देवी पति इन्द्राणी।
देवलोक की महारानी॥
सुर गन्धर्व अप्सरा गावें।
देवराज इन्द्र सभा सजावें॥ ४॥
वृत्रासुर का वध तुम किया।
देवताओं को भय से मुक्त किया॥
बल पराक्रम से युद्ध कीना।
वज्र प्रहार असुर को दीना॥ ५॥
पर्जन्य रूप मेघ बरसाओ।
धरती को शस्य श्यामल बनाओ॥
वर्षा ऋतु के अधिपति तुम।
किसान जीवन के विधाता तुम॥ ६॥
दिशाओं के अधिपति पूर्व दिशा।
अष्ट दिक्पालों में प्रमुख दशा॥
ऋग्वेद में सर्वाधिक स्तुत।
सोमरस प्रिय सुरपति विख्यात॥ ७॥
नहुष ययाति की कथा सुनायी।
मनु के वंशज शक्ति दिखायी॥
गौतम ऋषि से शिक्षा पायी।
विनम्रता का पाठ बतायी॥ ८॥
कृष्ण ने गोवर्धन उठाया।
तब इन्द्र ने शीश नवाया॥
भगवान की लीला समझे।
भक्ति भाव से प्रभु को परखे॥ ९॥
जो इन्द्र चालीसा गावे।
सुख सम्पत्ति वैभव पावे॥
वर्षा सम्यक समय पर होवे।
फसल उत्तम भरपूर बोवे॥ १०॥

इन्द्र चालीसा पढ़ें, भक्ति भाव मन लाय।
सम्पत्ति और सुख बढ़े, देवराज सहाय॥
वज्रधारी पुरन्दर, शची प्रिय गुणधाम।
इन्द्र देव की कृपा से, पूर्ण हों सब काम॥
