॥ श्री इन्द्र कवचम् ॥
अस्य श्री इन्द्रकवचस्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य बृहस्पतिऋषिः।
त्रिष्टुप् छन्दः। इन्द्रो देवता।
ॐ इन्द्रो मे शिरः पातु ललाटं देवराजकः।
सहस्राक्षो दृशौ पातु श्रोत्रे पातु पुरन्दरः॥ १॥
नासां वज्रधरः पातु मुखं पातु शचीपतिः।
जिह्वां पातु सुरेन्द्रश्च कण्ठं पातु दिवस्पतिः॥ २॥
स्कन्धौ मरुत्वान् पातु बाहू मेघवाहनः।
हस्तौ कुलिशपाणिश्च हृदयं वृत्रसूदनः॥ ३॥
उदरं पातु देवेशो नाभिं सर्वामरेश्वरः।
कटिं गोत्रभिदः पातु ऊरू शतक्रतुः सदा॥ ४॥
जानुनी पाकशासनो जङ्घे नमुचिसूदनः।
पादौ पातु सुरश्रेष्ठो ऐरावतपतिः सदा॥ ५॥
प्राच्यां पातु स्वयं शक्रो दक्षिणे वज्रभृत् सदा।
पश्चिमे पातु देवेन्द्रो उत्तरे मघवा सदा॥ ६॥
आग्नेय्यां वासवः पातु नैरृत्यां बलसूदनः।
वायव्यां जम्भभेदी च ऐशान्यां त्रिदशाधिपः॥ ७॥
ऊर्ध्वं सहस्रनयनः अधस्तात्पातु वज्रभृत्।
सर्वतो मां सदा पातु देवराज इन्द्र ओजसा॥ ८॥
