Kashi Panchakam
काशी पञ्चकम्
About Kashi Panchakam
The Kashi Panchakam, known in Sanskrit as काशी पञ्चकम्, is a set of five devotional verses in praise of Lord Shiva. Drawn from Kashi Panchakam — Adi Shankaracharya, this text has been cherished by devotees for centuries. Regular recitation is believed to reveal Kashi as the inner spiritual state — not just a place, grant liberation through understanding Vishweshwara as Antaratma, and identify Ganga as the flow of knowledge within. It is especially recommended on Monday (Somvar) and during Maha Shivaratri and Shravan Somvar for maximum spiritual benefit. The text contains 5 verses and takes around 5 minutes to recite, fitting conveniently into a daily spiritual routine. On this page, you can read the complete Kashi Panchakam in Devanagari Sanskrit with English transliteration, Hindi meaning (arth), and free PDF download for offline recitation.
