About Sita Hridayam
Dedicated to Goddess Sita, the Sita Hridayam (सीता हृदयम्) is a heart-essence prayer revered in Hindu tradition. Drawn from Ananda Ramayana, this text has been cherished by devotees for centuries. Devotees recite this prayer to bring divine grace of Mother Sita into the household and destroy all sins through meditation on Rama-Sita. It is also said to bestow pativratya (marital devotion) and saubhagya. Recitation is particularly auspicious on Friday (Shukravar) and during Vivah Panchami and Ram Navami. ॥ श्री सीता हृदयम् ॥
॥ ध्यानम् ॥
ध्यायामि जानकीं सीतां रामवामाङ्कसंस्थिताम्।
पद्मपत्रायताक्षीं तां सर्वलक्षणसंयुताम्॥
॥ हृदयम् ॥
सीते वैदेहि वामोरु रामपत्नि नमोऽस्तु ते।
जनकात्मजे विश्वजननि मैथिलि परमेश्वरि॥ १॥
त्वमेव श्रीर्महालक्ष्मीः त्वमेव विजयप्रदा।
त्वमेव धर्मपत्नी च त्वमेव भुवनेश्वरी॥ २॥
अशोकवनवासा त्वं त्रिजटाप्रियदर्शना।
हनूमत्सन्देशहर्षा रामनामजपप्रिया॥ ३॥
भूमिजा भूमिकन्या च सीतावनमहोत्सवा।
अयोध्याराज्ञी विदेहा मिथिलापुरवासिनी॥ ४॥
लवकुशजननी देवी पातिव्रत्यव्रताधिका।
अग्निपरीक्षासंशुद्धा सत्यशीला पतिव्रता॥ ५॥
शीलसौभाग्यसम्पन्ना सर्वसौन्दर्यसुन्दरी।
रामहृदयनिवासा रामप्राणप्रिया सदा॥ ६॥
सीताहृदयमाख्यानं यः पठेद्भक्तिसंयुतः।
पातिव्रत्यफलं तस्य सौभाग्यं च प्रजायते॥ ७॥
रामसीतासमेतस्य ध्यानात्पापं प्रणश्यति।
धर्मार्थकाममोक्षांश्च लभते नात्र संशयः॥ ८॥
॥ इति श्री सीता हृदयं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
